Hey, Thomas thanks for swimming by!
I’m happy to see that
flipping your fins brought you to us here at
planDisney! That’s great practice because it sounds like you have some big plans to
just keep swimming, while visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort. Do you know which resort pool you will be splashing around in? My family’s favorite pool is
The Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. They are begging to schedule a stay there once the
resort reopens next month.
Small personal flotation devices (like life vests) are more than welcome at the pools, but they must not obstruct the lifeguard’s view of other Guests. I’ve even seen small pool toys available to purchase at the resort’s gift shops as well. You are even able to swim around the pools with goggles, you’ll just have to remove them while going down the slide. During our visit, my Mouseketeer was just under 2 and we did use one of the life vests that were provided at the pool on her. If you already have one at home, I recommend bringing it, since the vests already there are subject to availability.
Keep in mind that hours and lifeguard availability vary by pool and are subject to change. I recommend checking with the
front desk once you arrive to verify your resort's pool hours.
Thomas, I hope this helps answer your question about swimming pools. If you have any more questions before you go, or even while you’re there, just ask! A Cast Member there, will be more than happy to help. Just think, soon you will be able to
just keep swimming!
Have a
splashing time!
