how do reuse/activate my old magic bands

    Hi Mente! Welcome to planDisney!

Tomorrow is the BIG day! It is the day that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation begins. I bet you are giddy with excitement as you make all the last-minute preparations. You will have a blast exploring all that the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration has to offer. What a great time to visit!

I always keep the MagicBands from previous trips and love reusing my favorites. Since MagicBands have a battery life of around two years (although I've been able to use mine a little bit longer in the past), I try to get as much use out of them before the battery drains. If your MagicBands are more than two years old, you may find that they no longer work so you'll want to be prepared with a backup by either using your admission cards/tickets or a Disney MagicMobile pass on the My Disney Experience mobile app.

If your MagicBands are still useable, all you need to do to reuse them is to make sure your new Walt Disney World theme park tickets and reservations are linked to the same My Disney Experience account that your MagicBands are on. If you go to "My MagicBands and Cards" from the My Disney Experience drop-down menu on the main Walt Disney World website, you can view your MagicBands and make sure they all still say "Active." If not, simply choose to "Activate" them all you'll be all set.

I hope this helps, Mente! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
