Hello Diane!
It is a pleasure to welcome you back to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by today with a great question about
MagicBands.
I also have MagicBands from a 2018 visit that I would love to use during an upcoming Disney vacation. MagicBands should work for about two years, but some of my friends have reported theirs working even longer! If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, I recommend stopping by
Front Desk upon arrival and Cast Members will be happy to verify if yours are still working. If you get a negative response, you can request a Key to the World card or stop by the merchandise location at the hotel to purchase a new MagicBand. In case you are not going to
Be Our Guest, Cast Members at park entrance can also check if your MagicBands are still working, and if they can no longer be used, you can stop by a will-call window to get physical tickets or purchase a new MagicBand.
Another great option that will allow you to enter the parks even if your MagicBands are not working is
Disney MagicMobile. This service is currently available for iPhone and Apple Watch users (coming soon to other smart devices) and allows Guests to enter the theme parks and water parks by holding their iPhone or Apple Watch near an access point, just as they would do with a MagicBand or ticket card. After
linking valid admission to your Disney account, use the
My Disney Experience app to create a MagicMobile pass, add it to your Apple Wallet, and head to the parks!
I hope this information is helpful, Diane! Come back to visit us real soon if you have additional questions!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
