Hi Janet and welcome back to planDisney!
I'm so happy to see you're a repeat visitor of planDisney and I'm glad I get to help you plan your next Disney Water Park visit!
The
Disney Water Parks are a regular destination for my family since we have the Water Park and Sports option added to our annual passes. We have been visiting
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and
Disney's Blizzard Beach since my kids were babies and way before that. I still remember visiting Disney's River Country, the original Disney water park, often when I was little.
The refillable beverage cups at the water parks are a great idea to purchase for your day of splish splashing around. You can refill them at any
Quick Service Restaurant or at any self-service soda fountain inside the water parks. Purchasing the cups entitles you to unlimited refills for the entire day and you can bring them back on additional days to reactivate them at a discount. We purchased the cups for the four of us on our visit to Blizzard Beach last month and plan on bringing them back to reactivate them at Typhoon Lagoon in a couple of weeks. The new designs are so cute with a mix of characters and attractions from both water parks and have an easy carry handle attached to the lid. They are not the same as a
Disney Resort hotel refillable mug and can only be refilled at a water park.
I see that you'll be visiting in just a couple of weeks. How exciting! It's going to be the perfect weather for a day at Typhoon Lagoon, which will be the only water park open during your visit. I highly suggest getting to the park early to claim your spot for the day. If you have little kids with you,
Ketchakiddee Creek is the perfect spot to grab some chairs. This area is geared towards little ones under 48". You'll find shallow water, fun sprayers and even a little kid sized tube ride. My kids would spend practically the whole day in this area when they were smaller. Our go-to location for chairs now is near
Miss Adventure Falls and
Crush 'n' Gusher. It's close to the restrooms, snacks, an entrance to Castaway Creek (the lazy river) and a self-service beverage refill station.
Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
