Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tracy!
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and
The Pirates League offer guest a wonderful way to transform on vacation into a Princess, Prince, Mermaid or Pirate! My son had a makeover at each location and simply adored being in character, not to mention all the fun pirate mustaches and pixie dust in his hair! The costumes have since been precious additions to his playroom.
There are a few kinds of braids you may have received at the Boutique, one of which belongs with the Disney Diva makeover. The braids and curls come on an elastic, with a set of shorter hair at the front. The best way to re-add these to a hairstyle is to first fix a bun or a ponytail to the tops of her hair. You can then slip the small elastic OVER the bun, and comb the hair into place, adding a bobby pin where it’s needed to fix it in place. If you have the Anna or Elsa type larger braid from a Frozen makeover, the addition of the braid is very much the same. Lastly, if you have Disney Color Star hair clips, they usually come on tiny combs that can be fastened into twists near the front/middle of the head while you are twisting. I’d love to hear more about which braids you have so I can tell you more about how to incorporate them into a fun day at home! I have been in theatre for 25 years, doing costumes and hair for actors so I may be able to help you further.
I hope your magical vacation was so much fun that you’re thinking about planning another one. I can’t wait to visit during
Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival next year! I’ll talk to you soon about braids and pixie dust! ~ Lindsey P.
