Amanda from London Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

we are returning to WDW this summer - family of 5. We are DVC members and have a split stay of 7 nights WDW, 7 nights Vero Beach & 7 nights WDW. We had always bought the Dining Plan with mugs. Just wanted to confirm mugs will be good for all 21 days?

Hey there, Amanda! Welcome back to planDisney and Welcome Home! I am so happy that you've stopped by with your holiday planning question. I always love chatting with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member!

Amanda, I cannot tell you how happy I am to hear that in just a couple of months, you and your family will be returning to the magic on your pixie-dusted holiday. And, wow, what a holiday it will be! A magical stay at Disney's Vero Beach Resort sandwiched between two fabulous stays in a Disney Vacation Club Resort at The Most Magical Place on Earth while the 50th Anniversary Celebration is in full swing?! Now, that sounds like an absolute dream come true. A dream is a wish your heart makes, so, let's get all of your loose planning ends tied up so that all of your holiday wishes can come true!

My family and I, too, purchase the refillable Resort mugs on every Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It's just the perfect way to enjoy your daily morning coffee, have an afternoon pick-me-up soft drink, and stay hydrated with some Powerade while spending the day at the Resort's pool. Your refillable Resort mugs will remain activated for 14 days after their purchase. I spoke with a helpful Cast Member at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and she did confirm that you can use your refillable mugs from Walt Disney World Resort at Disney's Vero Beach Resort. Since your stay at Vero Beach Resort is within the first 14 days of your holiday, they should work fine when you arrive. If, for some reason, they don't, just stop at the front desk to have them re-activated. I recommend saving your receipt when you purchase your mugs as proof of the date of purchase and mug activation.

When you arrive for your second round of fun and magic at Walt Disney World Resort, your mugs will have expired, but Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" I suggest stopping at the front desk of your DVC Resort to explain your split stay situation and inquire about extending the activation period of your refillable mugs for a fee. But once you see the new Resort mugs that were just released, you may just want to purchase one of each. I won't spoil the surprise, but the lids are EARresistable!

Amanda, I hope this was helpful, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable summer holiday! Please stop by any time with any holiday planning or DVC questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!

I hope to see ya real soon,

    Mandy
