Hi Moms! Returning to WDW Sept '11 with DH, DDs(9&5) and trying to decide between Poly and GF. Which resort has larger standard rooms? Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the WDW Moms Panel!

The Grand Floridian standard room is 440 sq. ft.

The Polynesian standard room is 415 sq. ft in original buildings. Rapa Nui, Tokelau and Tahiti longhouses have standard rooms with 476 sq. ft.

Our last stay at the Polynesian Resort was in a standard room in Tokelau. We had a patio level room and loved it.

We've also stayed several times at the Grand Floridian which is my sentimental favorite as we honeymooned there.

Consider whether you dream of Victorian splendor or a tropical paradise.

Both resorts offer monorail service, table-service restaurants, convenient stores and fun pools. Kid-friendly activities are available at both hotels.

The walkway between these two resorts is one of my favorite pathways in all of WDW. These are two wonderful resorts and it's nice to be able to enjoy the ambiance of both of them while dining and shopping.

Best wishes for a magical vacation!
