Returning to WDW from 5/3-5-11/2013, currently booked at POFQ. Have a 4 & 1yr old; like the idea of small resort, however the offer of discounted room rates is avail and unfortunately POFQ is not one of them. Any recommendations if we change? Pref no

Hi Jennifer! Thanks for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  Unfortunately, some of your question is missing, but let's see if I can help!  First off, you might consider staying at Port Orleans French Quarter.  Sometimes discounted rates become available.  This has happened to me before. If you are willing to check back from time to time, it certainly is a possibility, no guarantee.  You are correct POFQ is the smallest Moderate Resort, as well as Port Orleans Riverside. Have you checked there?  It is also a very charming and convenient place to stay.

It is also true that Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort are much larger in size.  Two things....they both offer an internal bus system which will help you get around. Secondly, you might consider booking a Preferred Room at either Resort which will put you closer to the central buildings in each Resort. At Coronado Springs, that is Casitas 1, 2 and 3. At Caribbean Beach that would be Trinidad North or Martinique.

Lastly, have you considered staying at a Monorail Resort? Kids love the monorail, and it's so easy to get around.  You can even roll your stroller right onto the monorail without having to break it up.  With a discount, you may find this may be an option you would like to consider.

Let me know if I can help in another way with your planning.

I wish you a MAGICAL vacation!
