Hi, Eric!
I'm so glad to hear that you'll be celebrating your daughter's birthday at the
Disneyland Resort! There's no better place to spend a special occasion than "The Happiest Place on Earth!"
I also enjoy
Disney Pin Trading and am always on the lookout for prime trading locations. My recent favorite spot is Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree in Frontierland, located behind the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad attraction. In addition to a cart with pins for sale, I've seen Cast Members with an entire wagon wheel of pins to trade from and other unique ways of trading, aside from the traditional way of choosing from pin lanyards. During the holiday season there was even a pin trading "tree." I can't wait to see what might be available there on my next visit!
Always keep your eyes peeled as you're exploring the parks, because some of the best pins (including sought-after "Hidden Mickey" pins that can't be purchased in the resort shops) can be found on Cast Member lanyards. If you're interested in meeting up with other Guests who have a passion for pin trading, stop by the tables just outside Little Green Men Store Command in Tomorrowland. It seems to be a popular place for trading and sharing your collection with other enthusiasts. Check out
this post on the Disney Parks Blog for a sneak peek at some of the brand new pins that will be released at Disney Parks this year!
I hope this information is helpful, Eric. Happy birthday to your little princess! Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your pixie-dusted vacation.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
