    We are returning to Disneyworld October 4th. We just learned that Blizzard Beach is closed for maintenance. Is there a chance this shutdown could change? We love the water parks and were planning to visit both of them.

    It is my experience that once a rehab is announced for an attraction, water park, resort or other area on WDW property, that typically the renovation proceeds on schedule.

    Our family is traveling to WDW soon and I have not told my son yet that Blizzard Beach is going to be closed. He loves the Ski Patrol Training Camp area for kids. I am sorry to hear that this closing will change your plans as well.

    I'm looking forward to Typhoon Lagoon though. I love the wave pool and tropical setting!
