We are returning to Disneyworld in June, our 9 year old needs a wheelchair due to JRA. I'm wondering when we are in line to ride rides can we leave the wheelchair and get it back after the ride?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Crystal!

My son uses push-stroller wheelchair, and we love that the Walt Disney World Resort has made every effort to make the parks as accessible as possible for Guests with limited mobility issues. In our experience, our son can remain in his wheelchair until we are ready to transfer him to the attraction vehicle. Once we have boarded, a Cast Member will move the wheelchair, so it is waiting for us when we exit. Keep in mind that some attractions offer accessible ride vehicles where your child can remain in the wheelchair during the experience. My son prefers the security of being in his own wheelchair while riding The Magic Carpets of Aladdin! Sometimes we do have wait a little longer because there are a limited number of access vehicles per attraction.

I hope you have a magical trip creating many family memories! Please let me know if I can be of further assistance as you continue to plan!

    Have a magical day!
