Returning to DCL and WDW after 14 years of marriage, we are taking kids to DCL and stay at the Art of Animation resort after. We need suggestions regards the most convenient and cost saving way for transportation between Port Canaveral to AOA. Thank U

Welcome back to cruising with Disney, Hsin-I -

How wonderful to hear that you are traveling from so far away to visit Walt Disney World and sail with Captain Mickey on Disney Cruise Line. This time is even more special - you've got your children with you! How wonderful to hear that your whole family will be enjoying this magical trip together. There are so many magical memories just waiting to be made... these are the family trips that go in the books as unforgettable. Your kids are very lucky to have you plan such a wonderful vacation.

This past summer, my family and I had a similar land and sea vacation. We also stayed at the Art of Animation resort - we LOVE this resort! It is so whimsical, and I absolutely loved seeing my kids enjoy all the amazing Disney characters come to life in the resort.

The most convenient way of getting your family from Port Canaveral to Disney's Art of Animation Resort is using Disney Cruise Line Ground Transfer. There is an additional cost of $35 one way per person. You can easily add this to your cruise reservation by calling your travel agent or contacting the Disney Cruise Line travel desk at 1800-951-3532. On disembarkation morning, you will simply exit the port to the left and board one of the luxury motor coaches waiting to take guests to their Disney resort. It takes about an hour or so (depending on traffic) to travel, and you'll find yourself tired and sleepy that morning. My kids are usually asleep the whole way on the bus!

I hope this help, Hsin-I. Please do write again if you have any additional questions about planning your upcoming vacation. We're always happy to help!

    Have a magical day!
