Hi, we are returning from a cruise on the day we are checking into our Disney resort and plan to drop our bags at the resort and head to the park. Will we have access to Genie+ at 7 AM the morning of check in, or will we have to wait until park opening?

Hey there, Stephen, and welcome to planDisney!

It sounds like you’ve taken vacations to the next level by pairing a Disney Cruise with a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I need to make sure my kids don’t see the question and get any crazy ideas! With any Walt Disney World Resort vacation, your resort privileges begin the morning of your arrival even if you haven’t actually arrived at the resort. And since you are staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel during your stay, you can make your first Lightning Lane Entrance purchase at 7 a.m. EST. All Guests can make their first Genie+ reservation at 7 a.m. EST even if they are not staying in a resort hotel. So even if you are still en route to the resort, you have the opportunity to start mapping out your Theme Park day. And if you’re planning to visit EPCOT on your arrival day, I suggest taking advantage of the 7 a.m. opportunity and grabbing a boarding spot for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

I hope this helps, Stephen! If you have more questions while planning your vacation, stop back by and let me know
