Hi Stephanie,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I hope you had an absolutely magical time on your recent trip to Walt Disney World!
I checked with a Cast Member, and the
Park Rules have not changed. Wagons, including the stroller-style push wagons, are not permitted in the theme parks.
If you are planning an upcoming trip with your niece, I do recommend checking the Park Rules as the trip gets nearer in case they have been updated. I would also suggest contacting the
Disability Services team at (407) 560-2547 to ask for their suggestions on how to be sure your niece is comfortable during her visit. The Cast Members on that team can suggest possible alternative mobility options for her, as well as provide information on Walt Disney World’s Disability Access Service, which can help your niece and her family members navigate the theme park day with sensitivity to her needs. I have visited Walt Disney World numerous times with friends and family members with special mobility needs, and have been so impressed with the ways Cast Members help us navigate attractions comfortably.
Stephanie, I just love that you had your niece in mind during your visit and that you want to ensure her visit is as magical as can be. Please come see us here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you plan your next visit; many of us have experience traveling with special needs friends and it's our pleasure to provide tips and assistance to your family. I’m hoping we’ll see both you and your niece real soon at Walt Disney World!
Have a zip-a-dee-do-dah day,
Robyn
