Just returned from our second trip to WDW and already planning to go on Thanksgiving day (and week after) this year, I will go alone my my 5 year old, will they have the Christmas parade at that time? Decorations? (Nov 28- Dec 4, 2013)

Hello Glorian!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel.

For my family November - December is the most wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World.  The weather is warm, the crowds are low and the Christmas decorations are just spectacular.

We enjoyed eight magical nights from November 25 to December 2, 2012.  During this vacation we experience low crowd levels, making it very comfortable to move around with our two kids.  All Christmas decorations and special events were in place and thus we were able to enjoy them all.
Mickey´s Very Merry Christmas Party is an experience my family will cherish for our whole life.
For anyone who enjoy arts the
Candlelight Processional is a unique musical experience not to be missed.
This was a truly magical family vacation!

The process of decorating all Disney resorts and parks normally starts early in November - all completed at different times.  Special events usually start by the second week of November with Mickey´s Very Merry Christmas Party being first.  All decorations and special events should be ready two to three days after Thanksgiving Day.  Keep visiting Disney´s website for specific dates and updates as the season draws closer.

Happy to help you plan a wonderful Disney vacation.
