We just returned from a great stay in the Art of animation Lion King suite, I was wondering what type of bed is used. I had no aches even being at parks open to close each day.

    Hiya Alex,

Welcome to planDisney! There is just something special about sleeping in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Even my children sleep more soundly in our resort hotel room. I don't know if it's the combination of exhaustion from walking all day in the Florida sun or the comfortable accommodations, but it's magic!

Alex, I'm glad you had a great stay at Art of Animation and that your mattress contributed positively to your experience. As a panelist, I've developed the habit of taking pictures of the mattresses before checking out so I can see if any of the mattress selections have changed since my last visit. The mattress can vary as the resorts are refurbished and refreshed. While I'm not 100% sure what mattress was in your Lion King suite, the mattresses in Art of Animation suites are typically Sealy Posturepedic Sayer Prolux Ltd. Plush Pillowtop mattresses, so that would be my best guess. While I have yet to find these specific mattresses for sale at my local mattress store, if you want to replicate that pampering experience at home, you can always contact the company to see if there is a way to purchase one.

I hope you can get the mattress and bring a tiny Disney magic home with you! Before I let you go, I also wanted to share that the pillows (which are much easier to find online) are from the Sobel Westex Sahara Nights collection. Please come back and see us if you need anything else!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
