We just returned from first Disney cruise. It wasn’t plan sailing at port check in/security. There was lots of lines/people and my son very autistic. Is there a special needs line in either PC or FL like airport ones.

Greetings, Allyson! It’s lovely to see you again. Welcome back!

Disney Cruise Line provides a range of services for guests with autism. The crew is always ready to assist and can provide helpful tips regarding wait times during the mandatory guest assembly drill, character meet-and-greets, and other onboard activities. While there isn’t a separate check-in line for guests with special needs, you can reach out to Disney Cruise Line Special Services to discuss any specific needs or concerns you may have before your trip.

Did you know older kids can explore Disney’s Oceaneer Club during Open House hours? During these times, the club opens its doors to children of all ages and their families, allowing everyone to experience the magical-themed play areas, activities, and character interactions together. It’s a great chance to have some fun as a family. Make sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app regularly for the Open House schedule, as these hours are available most days.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please sail back to planDisney and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Tracie, Florida

Ahoy! Just like Moana, I feel the irresistible call of the sea. I think the best vacation is aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship – thankfully, my family agrees. Whether savoring gelato in Italy, snorkeling in Mexico, or basking in the sea breeze on deck, each destination fills us with memories to last a lifetime. I look forward to helping your family plan a Disney Cruise Line adventure brimming with cherished moments!
