Lisette from MD Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We just returned from our Disney vacation. We purchased the Memory Maker. There are photos where there are supposed to be characters added. I would like to know how to insert those characters?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Lisette! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. We're delighted to see you!

First of all, I hope that your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort was practically perfect in every way. With so much to see and do, plus the 50th Anniversary Celebration going on, I'm sure you had a blast!

The Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots are SO much fun, aren't they? When a Disney PhotoPass photographer sprinkles some pixie dust into their camera, your favorite Disney pals come to life and pose right next to you and your family. Now, when a PhotoPass photographer offers you a Magic Shot, it usually takes about 24 hours for it to auto-MAGICALLY appear in your PhotoPass gallery. If it's been over 24 hours and you still don't see your Magic Shots in your gallery, Hakuna Matata! No worries.

In order for you to recover your Magic Shots and other PhotoPass pictures, you'll need to use this handy form to report a missing photo online. Please make sure to include as many details as possible! If you remember the exact location and time, as well as your entire family's clothing items, you will help streamline your process and you'll probably get a response from the team sooner rather than later.

Please keep in mind that Magic Shots include characters that have been added to your pictures by the PhotoPass photographers, and you won't be able to add them through the website or the My Disney Experience mobile app by yourself. If you're certain that one or more of your pictures are Magic Shots that should include characters or other graphic designs, you could always speak to a Cast Member at (407) 560-4300, which is the Disney PhotoPass hotline.

Lisette, I hope that my answer has helped ease some of your concerns! If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask away. We're always happy to help our fellow Disney-loving Guests!

    Ta-ta for now,

    Ana Paula
