Hi Joe! Welcome to planDisney.
As one of the military moms on the panel, I’d like to thank you for your service to our country. I’m so glad to hear you have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation coming up, and that you’ll be taking advantage of the fantastic military
discounts offered to our service members.
As part of the
Walt Disney World Resort’s phased reopening, there are park capacity restrictions in place to ensure physical distancing and other health and safety measures can be practiced. The theme parks do reach capacity some days, so you will want to make your Disney Park Pass reservations to ensure you’re able to visit the theme park you want on the day you plan.
To make your Disney Park Pass reservations, you’ll need a
My Disney Experience account for each member of your party. Once you’ve visited your local base ticket office to purchase your military promotional theme park tickets, you’ll link the tickets to each Guest’s My Disney Experience account. To do this, log in to My Disney Experience, select “Tickets and Passes,” and then add each ticket using the ticket number, which is usually found on the back of your exchange certificate or plastic ticket card. Then, link that ticket to each Guest. I like to write the person’s name or initials on each ticket as I do this; it makes it easier when you’re activating the tickets at Guest Services when you arrive at Walt Disney World.
Once your tickets are linked,
follow the steps to make Disney Park Pass reservations for each day of your visit. If you have any trouble with any of those steps, the friendly
My Disney Experience Help Desk Cast Members are standing by at (407) 939-4357 to help you. I often have to call for help when linking military tickets, and they’re always wonderful.
To park hop, you will need a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park you visit each day, and you must enter that park before hopping to another park. Currently, park hopping begins at 2:00 p.m. each day, and you can check your My Disney Experience app to see if the park you’re hoping to hop to has reached capacity; if it has, you will need to choose a different theme park. You do not need a Park Pass reservation for the parks you visit after the first one, although this is subject to change. There are Guest Experience Cast Members in the theme parks who are ready to assist you should you have any questions about capacity or the park hopping process while you’re there, and the
Park Hopper web page has a helpful walk-through of the process.
Joe, I hope this helps as you count down to your April visit! I just love springtime at the Walt Disney World Resort, and I hope you’re planning to visit the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival – it’s absolutely wonderful, with gorgeous topiary versions of favorite characters, delicious food and drink kiosks, and fabulous entertainment and activities.
Should you have any questions as you plan and dream, please come back and see us. It’s always a pleasure to help a fellow military family plan their together time.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
