I am a retired military member or do I have to physically be there when they enter the park to use the discounted military tickets?

Greetings Stanley! Welcome to planDisney. We appreciate you not only for stopping by with your question but also for your service to our country. On behalf of myself and the rest of the planDisney panel, I would like to extend our thanks to you and your family for your service.

There are two types of discounted military tickets available. The first type is the standard theme park ticket which is just slightly discounted. These can be purchased at participating military base ticket offices and can be used by anyone. The other ticket type is the Disney Military Promotional Ticket, which I think you may be referring to. These tickets are Park Hopper tickets that are more heavily discounted and are only available for purchase at participating military base ticket offices by active duty or retired military members. Six tickets can be purchased per military member or spouse per offer period. The service member or spouse would need to be present when the tickets are redeemed for the first day and one of the tickets would need to be used by the member or spouse themselves as well.

As a military family ourselves, we have loved this generous offer extended to us and take advantage of it as often as it is available. The other great thing about the Disney Military Promotional Tickets is that they can be used throughout the duration of the promotional period. They do not have to be used within a certain number of days once activated like a regular Park Hopper ticket.

Military members are also offered discounts for the Disneyland Resort Hotels if you are planning to visit for multiple days. Discounts and rooms are subject to availability and you can check on them by calling a Cast Member at (877) 372-6820.

Stanley, I hope this gets you one step closer to deciding which tickets will be best for your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort. We hope you have a magical getaway!
