Hi James, and welcome to planDisney.
On behalf of my own military family and my fellow panelists, thank you for your service to our country. I'm always so happy to hear from a military family planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort - in my opinion, there is no better place for the together time that is so important for our military families. Let's get your exchange certificates worked out so you can make your plans!
Before making your Disney Park Pass reservations, you will need to link your
Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets to your
My Disney Experience account. In my experience, the exchange certificates we receive when purchasing the Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets on base have a ticket ID number on the back; there are several different types of exchange certificates and military tickets, so you may find your number in a different spot.
Log in to your My Disney Experience account and select “Tickets and Passes.” From there, select the “+” or “add” and then “Link Tickets & Passes.” Then, enter the ticket ID number. If you can't locate the number, there's a helpful "Where is My Ticket ID?" link you can click to see various types of tickets and exchange certificates, with the ticket ID location highlighted. When the system accepts your ticket ID, follow the steps to link the ticket to each Guest in your party. Follow those steps until each ticket is linked to each Guest in your party.
If you encounter issues linking your tickets, a Cast Member at the My Disney Experience help desk at (407) 939-4357 will be happy to assist you.
Once you have the tickets linked, you will be able to make
Disney Park Pass reservations for your visit dates. There's a helpful video on the webpage that walks you through the process. You can also check availability using
this handy calendar tool.
I see you're planning an October visit, which is a fantastic time to visit. This coming October, the theme parks will be decked out for
The World's Most Magical Celebration, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news and announcements about the celebration!
Thanks for stopping by with this question, James. As you make your plans, your friends at planDisney are standing by to help if you think of any more questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
