Retired Marine would like to purchase Disney Salute tickets for our daughter, her husband and daughter to visit with us. The problem is my wife and I are passholders, and it said one ticket had to be used by me or my spouse? Does it apply in this case?

Hi Jose! The new promotion for the military for tickets to be used from October 1, 2012 through September 28, 2013 has been published. It does state that active or retired military personnel can purchase up to six tickets for family and friends. You can add and upgrade these tickets to add the Park Hopper option but not the no expiration option.

The rules do state that one of the tickets must be used by the purchaser which would be you. They can be pretty strict with the special tickets such as military but I would certainly try to get some sort of refund at the park Guest Relations when you arrive if you are purchasing them prior to your coming. It would certainly to unfortunate to have to pay for a ticket that basically you have already purchased through the annual pass but I certainly don't dictate the rules. It is a great savings for your daughter and her family and something that you don't want to pass up.

You can find some other information at militarydisneytips.com that might help answer other questions that might come up. The answer to your question in the black and white print is "no" but there are often exceptions if you pursue this with Guest Relations.
