Ahoy there, Tamara,
Thanks for cruising to planDisney with your question about Special US Military Rates. I'd be happy to help you navigate the eligibility rules so you can be prepared as you book a Disney Cruise for your sailing crew.
As it turns out, Department of Defense Civilian employees are not eligible for the Special US Military Rates at this time. The following forms of valid ID are eligible for the military offers:
- Next Generation Uniformed Services ID (USID) Card (with eligible affiliation)
- Common Access Card (CAC, except cards that indicate "Civilian" or "Contractor" affiliation)
- Select legacy USID card types, such as: DD Form 2, DD Form 1173 or 1173-1 (must indicate "Spouse," "SP," or "DEC-DB"), DD Form 2765 (must indicate "DAV" or "DAVPRM" for 100% Disabled American Veterans or other eligible status)
I'm sorry if that wasn't the news you were hoping for, but I'm glad that you asked. Please take a look at the
Special Offers page to see if any other sailing dates offered at great rates will work for you. Select itineraries are offering savings up to 25 percent off! My family loves to sail with Disney Cruise Line, and we take advantage of the
Onboard Offer to lock in a discount on a future cruise within the next two years. It makes it a lot easier to say goodbye to Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey when we know we can sail again at a discount soon. The Onboard Offer is only available through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app while you are sailing on a Disney Cruise. The placeholder deposit is fully refundable if your plans change, so it is a really flexible option.
Tamara, I hope you'll visit planDisney again if you have more questions for us. My pals and I love to help!
Have a magical day,
Adrianna
