Estefania from CA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Are there any restrictions for pregnant women in their third trimester? How can a pregnant woman find out what rides she can ride?

Greetings, Estefania, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

First off, congratulations on your pregnancy! I can’t think of a better place to celebrate your upcoming arrival than at the Happiest Place on Earth! I have visited the theme parks during all stages of my three pregnancies, and I’m happy to report that there are still plenty of attractions, shows, and experiences available to pregnant women. The Disneyland Resort does have an “Expectant Mothers Advisory” in place for any attractions that could potentially be harmful to you or baby. Currently, there for 15 attractions on that list, including thrill rides such as Hyperspace Mountain, Incredicoaster, and Big Thunder Mountain. So, as long as you avoid the attractions on this list, you should be just fine!

Here are some of my favorite attractions to ride during my pregnancies: “it’s a small world,” Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Golden Zephyr, Jungle Cruise, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Soarin’ Over California.

I also enjoy visiting the Disney Animation Building in Hollywood Land and attending Animation Academy and Turtle Talk with Crush, and visiting Sorcerer’s Workshop. The Animation Courtyard gallery in the main lobby is also a great spot to relax in the air-conditioning on the plush couches throughout the lobby.

Another great way to take a break while seeing the sights is to go for a ride on the Disneyland Railroad or the Disneyland Monorail. Also, some of my favorite shows include Mickey and the Magical Map, Frozen -- Live at the Hyperion, and World of Color. You can even book a World of Color Dessert Party so you can enjoy this magical show from a reserved seating area in Paradise Gardens Park!

And lastly, be sure to stay hydrated throughout your Disney day! I recommend stopping by any quick-service restaurant for a complimentary cup of ice water as often as needed.

I hope this information helps make your Disney adventures even more magical. Please stop by with any additional questions you may have… I’m all EARs!

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 8, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
