Are there restrictions for ECV access to any WDW restaurants or stores?

Hi there, Pamela! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and submit your Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

In my own experience, utilizing a mobility device during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation can make or break your experience! Personally, I would not be able to access any of the theme parks without utilizing my own wheelchair. This is one of the main reasons I adore the attention to detail Walt Disney World Resort pays to their Guests with disabilities. This has made my own visits, and many others’ visits, incredibly magical!

There are not any restrictions on utilizing an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) at any Walt Disney World Resort shopping or dining locations currently. I would like to point out, though, that navigating within certain areas may be difficult at times when using an ECV! There are a few shopping and dining locations that can be a bit congested or have smaller areas that may make driving your ECV difficult. However, if this is an issue, feel free to let a Cast Member know and they will try their absolute best to help develop a solution for you!

If you are interested in which specific attractions allow ECVs, I would highly recommend looking into this list compiled by Walt Disney World Resort prior to your stay! This webpage contains a good amount of information regarding which attractions require transferring for access. You will also find information regarding parking and transportation accessibility on this page as well!

Have fun continuing to plan for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
