Hi, Rachel! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! It would be my pleasure to help you add a little extra pixie dust to your kiddo's birthday.
During these unprecedented times, things at
Walt Disney World Resort may look a bit different from what we're used to, but the magic will still be there, especially when you're celebrating a birthday! Be sure to pick up a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button at the front desk of your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or any
Guest Relations location. Your young Mouseketeer will love all of the birthday wishes they receive from Cast Members and other Guests who notice their button.
As you get ready to travel, I would recommend packing some decorations or gifts as a surprise for the birthday kiddo. While they are sleeping or out with another family member, you can decorate your resort hotel room in celebration of their special day. This
"Best Birthday Ever" ear hat from shopDisney would be a fun birthday surprise.
A
special birthday meal would be a great way to celebrate. If you think that your guest of honor would like to visit with some of their favorite Disney pals, there are even a few restaurants that are currently offering modified character dining experiences.
Topolino's Terrace (breakfast only),
Garden Grill Restaurant, and
Hollywood & Vine are currently
booking reservations for character dining. Did you know that you can even
pre-order a delicious Mickey Mouse Celebration cake at many restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort? That sounds like a perfect fairytale ending to any meal!
Be sure to take a look at this
"Know Before You Go" page to learn more about what is available during this phased reopening period. No matter how you choose to celebrate, spending this special day at The Most Magical Place on Earth is sure to make this a birthday your child will remember fondly for yEARs to come. See ya real soon!
