Is there any restrictions on what beverages can be brought into the parks? Only water or is Gatorade allowed?

Hey there, Christina. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I often times will bring some snacks and drinks with us into the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. It saves a little bit of money that can be put toward those must have souvenirs. You'll be able to bring most beverages into the parks with you but there are a few restrictions. First, there is no outside alcohol allowed in any of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks so leave that behind in your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room. Secondly, there are no glass containers allowed. Anything other than that is free game. I will suggest not packing any bottled water with you. You can get a free ice water at any Quick Service Dining location. There's no point on lugging it around with you all day when it's so convenient to pop in somewhere and get a fresh glass anytime you'd like. If you are packing a cooler, according to the Walt Disney World Park Rules, the dimensions can be no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. Also keep in mind that any loose ice or dry ice is no longer permitted. I suggest keeping your drink cool with one of those freezable gel packs instead.

I hope this helps, Christina. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask. Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
