Hi Heather! Welcome to planDisney!
In a few short days, you are arriving at
Walt Disney World Resort during
The World's Most Magical Celebration. Make your own scavenger hunt looking for the golden
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection. My favorite is Donald Duck in front of
Cinderella Castle at
Magic Kingdom Park.
Great choice in staying immersed in the magic by choosing a
Walt Disney World Resort. As a resort guest, you already know about taking advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry. You also have the advantage of using
complimentary Walt Disney World Transportation. We will come back to this topic soon.
I too have used rideshare to navigate Walt Disney World Resort on many occasions. I find them particularly useful at the end of the evening when long lines form for transportation back to the resorts. From everything I have researched, it seems rideshare drop-offs will have to wait at park gates with all incoming day guests. I have read some were subject to not being allowed through the gates until 30 minutes before park opening. However, I have learned on any given day at theme parks, this may vary. Just be forewarned.
Now, let's get back to complimentary Walt Disney World Transportation, Early Theme Park Entry, rope dropping, and my experience. Lately, I find by setting my alarm and getting on one of the first Walt Disney World buses, I am beating the driving day guest by a considerable amount of time. In fact, on my last trip at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, I was through security, ticket check-in, and on three attractions before the actual scheduled park opening. While I cannot promise these results, it happened on every day of my trip by using complimentary transportation.
Here is some more useful information. Walt Disney World Transportation typically begins running from resorts about one hour prior to your park access. If Magic Kingdom Park is your destination, using complimentary transportation will bring you close to the entry gates. Conversely, personal vehicles and rideshare drop-offs will occur at The Transportation and Ticket Center. You must then either take the
Monorail or
Ferry Boat to reach the park. Please factor that time into your schedule.
Thanks for stopping by
planDisney. Have a Magical vacation.
Keeping it Magical,
Cindy
