    Erika:

Tony's has a porch along with two large rooms for dining, if my memory serves me correctly.  To see the parade, you need to either be seated at a table on the porch or new the window of the room closest to the porch.

Our family had reservations last year about the same time that you prior to the parade.  We were given advice to get to Tony's about 30 minutes before our reservation time so that we could request a seat on the porch and have plenty of time to try and get a good seat for both dinner and the parade.

What we found was that most of the families on the porch at that time were waiting out the parade, but we were able to get a seat at one of the tables inside Tony's next to the window, which was a good seat, too.

I would echo the recommendation that we got: go about 30 minutes before your reservation time and ask for a table on the porch or by the window--after all, you've got plenty of time before the parade to wait it out and see if one becomes available. It is definitely not too early to have a reservation as I have found that most table service restaurants take about 1 to 1/2 hours to turn over a table.

Once you're seated, you can enjoy your meal while you wait on the parade!  I would suggest that if you're lucky enough to be seated on the porch promptly and find that you finish your meal before the parade, that you consider tipping the wait staff above the customary 18%, afterall, you will be holding a table at which they can seat other diners.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
