Season's Greetings, Felisha!
Welcome to planDisney and Happy Holidays. Spending the
holidays at Walt Disney World Resort is such an incredible experience. My family was fortunate enough to spend Christmas Day there a few years ago with a delicious breakfast and dinner. So please don’t worry, your plans will work!
We started our morning with breakfast at
Ale & Compass and took the time to walk around the Boardwalk. After breakfast, instead of heading to the parks, we opted for a gingerbread house self-guided tour. We stopped at every resort that had a gingerbread house for a family photo and to “wow” the kids. After a quick resort break, we ended our day with dinner at
Trail’s End Restaurant. We were able to schedule our reservations as normal. The only thing we did notice was that our dinner menu had changed to a holiday-themed meal. This wasn’t noted at the time of booking, but when we checked in to eat. It worked out perfectly because we were able to enjoy a traditional holiday meal while vacationing at our favorite place! While I am not sure if Topolino’s Terrace will do something similar, it is a good thing to keep in mind when scheduling your reservations over the holidays.
I also recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for their seasonal offering guide. Usually, closer to the start of the holidays is when you will find more information on seasonal snacks, meals, and must-dos throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. A family favorite for us is the Cookie Stroll at
EPCOT during the International Festival of the Holidays. If you haven’t done it, I recommend it! You’ll want to save room for all the cookies in the stroll, so I recommend grabbing one and sharing at each stop.
Felisha, I hope this helps answer your question. Remember,
dining reservations open up 60 days before your arrival when staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, so set a reminder on your phone to schedule yours! Have the most magical visit, and if there’s anything else we can help with, you know where to find us.
‘Tis the Season,
Shantel
