Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Larry! Even though spring is in full bloom at Walt Disney World Resort, it always brings a little joy to my heart to think about the holidays. You've picked a truly
magical time of yEAR to visit, and just because you are on vacation doesn't mean you need to miss out on a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings!
One of my favorite places to eat is
Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom Park, where Thanksgiving is offered yEAR round! The Patriot's Platter is served family style, and it comes with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and (of course), gravy! Save room for the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake, because it is delicious. If celebrating Thanksgiving in an 18th century colonial home sounds like your cup of tea, then this is the place to be.
Many of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels will also have Thanksgiving meals, although information won't be on the website until fall.
The Wave... of American Flavors at Disney's Contemporary Resort and
Garden Grove at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel both have hosted Thanksgiving Day buffets in the past.
Some of the restaurants in Epcot such as
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall,
Coral Reef Restaurant,
Le Cellier Steakhouse, and
Rose & Crown Dining Room have had special Thanksgiving menus, too. Think about booking a meal at one of these restaurants and top it off with a viewing of the beautiful
Candlelight Processional performance, and you've got a Thanksgiving to remember! Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog where they will post information about special holiday menus later this yEAR.
Larry, all this talk has me craving a Turkey Leg right now! I hope you have a wonderful trip and feel free to come see us again if you have any more questions.
