Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ana!
Oh, my goodness. You are in for a very special treat as you take a vegetarian tour of
Walt Disney World!
I travel to WDW with hundreds of high school seniors every spring, many of whom are either vegetarian or vegan. My daughter, too, has been vegetarian for years, so I've kept my eyes and ears open while dining throughout WDW. Truly, I have never seen such delicious options for vegetarian diners anywhere else; you will be amazed.
Most Walt Disney World Table-Service locations feature at least 1 vegetarian entree, as well as appetizers and sides that are veggie-friendly. Simply tell your server prior to ordering that you are vegetarian, and ask if there are any
additional options that are not featured on the menu. Chefs love creating options for guests with special dietary needs, so be sure to ask.
In fact, when we dined at
Victoria & Albert's recently, which features multiple fine-dining courses, I asked what would be offered if we had brought our vegetarian daughter with us. Featuring 7 courses, I thought for sure that this would be one venue where we could simply not bring her; I was wrong. Our server brought me an entirely vegetarian menu, simply so that I could see how spectacular her meal would be, too. Won me over right there. :-)
A fantastic, unofficial source of information is AllEars.net. Head there, then type "vegetarian" into their search menu. You'll see a list of many useful resources of all things vegetarian. Two of my favorites are "Vegetarian/Vegan Table Service Meals in the Parks" and "Vegetarian/Vegan Table Service Dining at the Resorts". You'll love it!
Send more questions as you plan, Ana; we love to help!
