What restaurants do you recommend going to, it will be our first time here and I really want to make it magical for my two boys....

    Leaann:

There are so many dining options at Disney but not all restaurants are age-appropriate or menu-appropriate for boys. As you plan your vacation dining, I recommend that you only eat at one table-service restaurant a day so that you don't find yourself taking too much time out of your day to eat. With that in mind, here are my suggestions on a few locations that should appeal to your boys:

    • T-Rex or Rain Forest Cafe: Entertained by what I like to call animatronics (animals that come to life in the restaurant) your sons will be captivated. The bonus for me as a mom is the extensive menu and delicious food that is one of your best dining values at Disney.
    • Sci Fi Dine-in Theater: Depending on the ages of your children, the movies can be scary to young pre-schoolers (think B movies from the 1950's that feature stories-tall creatures). But who wouldn't want to sit in a booth shaped like a car? And who doesn't love a milkshake and fries? Again, you'll be able to get out of this restaurant without killing your budget with more options that chicken nuggets.
    • Ohana: My teenage sons still request it. They enjoy the all-you-can-eat shrimp and meat skewers. Time your visit with the Magic Kingdom fireworks and view them from the restaurant!
    • Biergarten: The buffet provides you with meat and potatoes fare that offers something for even the pickiest of eaters. All the family will find the Oktoberfest atmosphere lively.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
