What restaurants qualify for quick service meals? Does table service mean any restaurant that you sit down at? For meal plans-you can break down meals into snacks it not add snacks together to make a meal, correct?

    Hi Amy,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Some of my favorite dining experiences at Walt Disney World are enjoyed at Quick Service restaurants. There are so many great dining locations that serve up delicious foods in a fast casual or counter service environment and accept the Quick Service Dining Plan. When you take a look at a dining location's page, you can see at-a-glance the type of dining experience, such as Fine/Signature Dining, Buffet/Family Style, Character Dining, Dinner Show, or Quick Service. The dining location's page will also show which Dining Plans are accepted.

Many Quick Service locations have areas where you seat yourself. I would describe Table Service as a dining location where a Cast Member greets you and escorts you to your table and where a Cast Member takes your order and serves you your food.

Each restaurant can vary in how they offer items for the Dining Plans. In general, a Quick Service meal will include an entrée and a beverage. When it comes to snacks, there's quite a variety of items that you can get with your Dining Plan snack credits. Yes, snacks can include treats like popcorn or ice cream bars. There's more to enjoy with snacks than treats. For example, some dining locations offer a bagel and cream cheese as a snack, or a soup or salad for snack. You'll find the food items that can count as Disney Dining Plan snacks will be identified on the menus with the purple and white Disney Dining Plan logo.

Amy, I hope this information helps with your dining planning. If you have more questions as you make your vacation plans, please just ask away here at Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
