Hi there Kristin, and welcome to planDisney! Oh boy! Your trip is just around the corner! I bet you and your family are counting down the weeks until your arrival at Walt Disney World Resort! April is a wonderful time to visit, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter or Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside definitely brings on the wonderful Mardi Gras vibes of the Crescent City! What I love about both Disney's Port Orleans Resorts is that they are quick boat ride down the river bend of the Sassagoula, taking you to Disney Springs, home to shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences alike!
Kristin, after doing some research on both Port Orleans resorts, you have the option of dining outside with a limited menu at
Mardi Grogs at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter, as well as at
Muddy Rivers at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside. Both locations are pool bars, so it will be a limited menu for food. If you are looking for a nice outdoor dinner, I suggest heading on over to Disney Springs, and making a reservation at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', or if you're looking for some good seafood, check out
The BOATHOUSE. Both offer plenty of outdoor seating, and The BOATHOUSE has beautiful views of Lake Buena Vista.
Kristin, have the best, most pixie-dusted-filled trip in a few weeks! Lassiez le bon temps rouler!
Frances
