Welcome to planDisney, Alex! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today about my favorite activity at Walt Disney World:
dining.
Planning to dine with a large group can be a bit tricky sometimes, but I have a few tips to make the booking process a bit easier! Firstly, there isn't a restaurant at Walt Disney World that cannot accommodate a group of eight people. Restaurants are used to hosting big families, and every effort will be made to make it work for you!
Sometimes, those tables that are already set up for large groups get booked up pretty quickly, so you may not see a reservation for eight right away when you go to make your bookings in the
My Disney Experience app. If that's the case for your coveted restaurants like
Narcoosee's,
The BOATHOUSE, or
Steakhouse 71, don't fret. Split your dining group into two smaller groups, I recommend two groups of 4, and make two separate reservations at or around the same time. On the day of your reservation, arrive around 30 minutes before your dining time and let the host know that you would like to be seated together if possible. It is typically easy to accommodate this request, but it is based on availability so it cannot be guaranteed. Also, consider booking meals at off-peak dining times, like a late lunch or early dinner, as there may be more flexibility for larger groups. No matter what, you’ll still get to enjoy a delicious meal and make some magical memories!
I hope this answers your question, Alex, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
