Hello, Cynthia! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question!
Paint the Night is my absolute favorite parade! So you can imagine how thrilled I am that its run has been extended past September 3rd when Pixar Fest comes to a close. It might be a little tricky to plan a meal at a restaurant from where you can watch the parade while you dine. Your best bet is trying to secure a very late dinner reservation at
Wine Country Trattoria. This restaurant is along the parade route and if you are lucky enough to be seated on the patio, you might be able to catch glimpses of the parade from your table. I suggest that you show up a little early to your reservation and put in a request for a table along the edge of the patio. Just keep in mind that while Cast Members will do their best to accommodate you, requests are never guaranteed.
To guarantee a view of the parade from the comfort of a table, make a reservation for the
Sonoma Terrace Paint the Night Reception. This isn’t quite a meal, but you will receive a small plate of sweet and savory bites and wine, beer, or a non-alcoholic beverage. This area is reserved only for Reception Guests which provides an excellent view of the parade while your enjoy your snacks.
Finally, if these options don’t work for your family, there are usually lots of places to watch the parade without a dining package or a meal. The parade route is rather long so I’m certain that your family could claim a spot to view the parade without much advance preparation.
If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to stop by again. See ya real soon!
