Do the restaurants generally run on time as far as reservations go? I guess what I'm asking is this...with reservations is there usually some sort of wait time involved or are you seated fairly quickly?

Hi Donna!
When you make Advanced Dining Reservations, they always recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes before your reservation. This way, they can seat you as soon as possible. The wait is usually pretty short because they do a good job distributing reservations. Sometimes we have had to wait a bit, even after our reservation time, but this wait has never been more than 10 minutes. These occasions when we had to wait a bit more than expected were usually character dining experiences. I imagine this is directly related to guests taking a bit longer for pictures and autographs. My family only had to wait a bit more than expected at Cinderella's Royal Table because there was a short line to get your picture taken with Cinderella.
Even though delays are always a possibility, you will find that reservations are pretty well managed at WDW.
