Hi Sharon!
I plan and chaperone a trip for high school seniors every spring so "wowing" teenagers has been my personal goal for nearly a decade. I have taken my students to a wide variety of restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort and I'm delighted to share some suggestions with you.
One of our favorite stops is Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
Whispering Canyon Cafe's All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Breakfast Skillet is served family style and it is a huge hit with my kids, especially those with formidable appetites. (The bottomless skillet served for dinner is similarly impressive.) And, not everyone is required to get the skillet. Students who prefer something else can order as they like. Personally, I love that the servers engage in good-natured banter with the kids while they dine. They really keep them on their toes.
If you're looking for a family style meal in a theme park, consider taking your teens to
Garden Grill Restaurant in the Land Pavilion of Epcot. While teens love to take their selfies with Chip and Dale, they'll also think it's cool that the whole restaurant rotates while they dine. You can catch some fascinating views of the Living with the Land attraction down below as you enjoy Mickey waffles for breakfast or hearty American fare for dinner.
My favorite family-style restaurant for teens, however, is '
Ohana. The Polynesian food and atmosphere will certainly impress your teens. This is the restaurant we visit the first night of our school trip because I want to blow them away with the magic of Disney. It works every time.
I'm happy to help if you need more ideas.
Jill
