Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Eileen!
I love that you are looking into experiencing a character meal during your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort. I try to do at least one character meal whenever we visit because it’s such a fun way for my daughter to meet lots of characters at once. I also like getting a variety of tasty food from the buffets! Currently, the only character dining experience for dinner is at
Goofy’s Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel. We enjoyed this dinner just last week and it was a lot of fun! You will meet either Chef Goofy or Chef Mickey upon entering the restaurant and then several characters will visit your table. While character line ups are always subject to change, we met Minnie, Pluto, Chip, and Dale, in addition to Goofy and Mickey. The buffet had everything a child or child at heart could want to eat, plus a few sophisticated entrée choices for more adventurous eaters.
If you are looking to eat inside the parks, the only character dining experience is the
Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn. I adore this meal because each time I dine there, we meet at least 10 different characters! I recommend getting in to Disneyland Park at rope drop, riding your favorite attractions while the crowds are low, and planning a later breakfast reservation at about 9:30 or 10:00 a.m.
Speaking of reservations, they are highly recommended for any character meal and can be made online or by calling (714) 781-3463 up to 60 days in advance. If you have any other questions, please stop by again!
