    Are there any restaurants that can accommodate an allergy to mammalian meat? My stepdaughter can only eat fish & poultry, and must be wary for any cross contamination. i.e. same grill cooking beef & chicken; same cooking utensils touching both.

    As a mom of two daughters with various food allergies, I hear your dilemma! One of our girls has significant food allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, and soy. We started by reviewing the information for Special Dietary Requests. You can email to contact someone with the Special Dietary Requests Team.

    Also, when you make advanced dining reservations, you can indicate special dietary requests. In your case, you may have to check the box labeled Other. When you arrive at the restaurant, the Cast Member who serves you should have a note of that Special Dietary Request. Since our daughter has such significant food allergies, we always ask to speak to the chef. The chefs have been AMAZING and she always feels reassured after talking with them.

    We do not use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering that often because it's a little harder to make sure her food is not cross-contaminated. But, occasionally, we can order something fairly simple for her to eat. Typically, we bring her snacks to eat from home and we have ordered snacks from delivery places like Garden Grocer. We also have purchased snacks from the shops in our resort hotel as long as the packaging labels are clear and we can identify the ingredients.

    Our daughters love dining at Walt Disney World Resort restaurants because they have been so well taken care of with respect to their allergies. We were impressed with their award-winning Honors for Allergy-Friendly Fare and adore the confidence when our girls use the allergy-friendly menus. As you prepare for your visit, feel free to review the menus of dining locations. Just go to the home page of each restaurant and click on View Menu. Be Our Guest Restaurant, for example, is one of our favorite dining locations, You can view the lunch or dinner menu to get an idea of the food served. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu to see allergy-friendly options.
