The restaurant I wanted to dine at doesn’t have any more room for reservations for the day I’ll be attending, but I was wondering if there was a waitlist option for reservations? Since I have a little bit of time till I go to the parks.

Hi there, Jacob. Thanks for bringing us your Disneyland Resort dining question.

I am sorry to hear that you weren't able to snag the dining reservation that you wanted. There are still a couple of options you can try! Before your visit, check back to see if any reservations open up. Advanced dining reservations generally open up around 60 days before a certain date. However, this is not a hard and fast rule and there may be more reservations released even up to the day of your visit. Sometimes, I've gotten really lucky and gotten a reservation the night before a visit!

If you aren't successful before your visit, you can always try to join the walk-up list for a restaurant on the day of your visit. You can do this through the Disneyland Mobile App or by visiting the restaurant in person. To use the app, you must be close to the restaurant. Then, tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the home screen. Search the name of the restaurant you want to dine at and, if the walk-up list is available, click "Join the Walk-Up." If the walk-up list is not available there is usually an orange message saying that right on the restaurant's page. Alternatively, you can always head over to the restaurant and ask a Cast Member in person. Please note that whether you use the app or go in person, you'll want to join the Walk-Up List as close to the restaurant's opening time as possible. For restaurants in high demand, the walk-up list will fill up almost as quickly as the advance dining reservations!

If all else fails, try out one of the many quick-service dining locations throughout the Disneyland Resort. And don't forget to check out the latest Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog. It always has the best tips on seasonal food offerings at the Resort!

I hope this helps, Jacob. Thanks again for stopping by!

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
