Hey there, Keitha. It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you to planDisney. And now, we invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair as we proudly present: your answer.
Choosing where and what I'm going to eat is always a highlight when planning any of my visits to the Disneyland Resort.
Advance dining reservations can be made up to 60 days before your visit and reservations are typically released at 6:00 AM Pacific Time (subject to change). For dining reservations that are in high demand (like Blue Bayou, seasonal character dining and seasonal dining packages), I recommend being on the site just before that time and ready with your fast fingers to book. There's nothing quite like the thrill of snagging that coveted dining reservation!
I took a peek at the Plaza Inn and noticed that their Character Dining is currently not available, which is what you would need a dining reservation for. This experience is expected to return in late September, however, with no exact date for reopening, I imagine this is why dining reservations are not available for booking quite yet. And this just in, we also just got a
merry update from Disney Parks Blog that “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” dining packages are expected to return this holiday season.
If you're trying to book a character breakfast or a seasonal dining package, I recommend keeping an eye on the
Plaza Inn page of the Disneyland website for updates in addition to continuing to check for reservations. If you're just looking to enjoy a meal outside of these experiences, I called and chatted with a friendly Cast Member who confirmed that the restaurant is open for you to enjoy lunch or dinner during your visit. No reservation required.
I must say, all this Rescue Ranger sleuthing has left me feeling a little peckish. If you'll be visiting during
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, I highly encourage you to enjoy a
seasonal treat or two (or three). The Mickey Mummy Macaron is a returning favorite of mine and I'm quite intrigued by the Matterhorn Puff. I can't wait to sink my teeth into that treat during my next visit.
Well, Keitha, I hope that the information I shared is helpful as you're getting ready for your visit and that you're able to grab that dining reservation you've been hoping for. Please come back to share any other questions with us that you might be curious about. Here's wishing you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
