Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Will.
I think you and your son will have a magical time at
Walt Disney World. I don't think there could be a better way to celebrate his senior year and all of the hard work that goes into that than a trip to Walt Disney World. You both are going to make memories that last a lifetime.
I'm sorry that you had trouble securing
advanced dining reservations for places your son wanted to dine at. I know that can be super frustrating. I do hope that you'll keep trying the reservation system. As itineraries change, people cancel dining reservations. When that happens, spots do open back up. I've had great luck grabbing reservations the closer it gets to my reservation dates.
I am actually at Walt Disney World with my family right now, Will, and I wasn't able to get a lot of dining reservations either. However, this morning, we walked up to
Cape May Cafe for breakfast right when they opened and they were able to squeeze us in. This is another option for you as it never hurts to ask when you are here. Also, some of the nicer dining options also have a bar or lounge area attached to them. These operate on a first-come, first-serve basis so no reservations are needed. I like to do this a lot because it allows for flexibility in the day.
Tambu Lounge at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorites. There, you'll able to enjoy the 'Ohana wings, noodles, pot stickers and bread pudding if you'd like. Plus they have a great cocktail and mocktail list.
I hope this gives you a few ideas, Will. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Enjoy!
Jackie H.
