Hi, Michelle!
Valid Theme Park admission is required for dining at any Walt Disney World Restaurant located within any of the Theme Parks, even if you only plan on visiting the restaurant. However, there are many restaurants located at some Walt Disney World Resort hotels which are absolutely amazing and do not require tickets. You do not even have to be staying at the hotel! There are also many wonderful restaurants located in the Downtown Disney area. There are still many options for you to choose from, and I have several personal favorites!
My top choice is 'Ohana located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I love meat and there is plenty to go around at 'Ohana! I do not normally eat sweets but the 'Ohana Bread Pudding à la mode with Bananas-Caramel Sauce is seriously the best thing I have ever eaten!
If you want to dive right into the magic, try Chef Mickey's found inside Disney's Contemporary Resort. Mickey Mouse himself will be there as well as some of his friends! This is a buffet, so you can re-fuel well after your long day of travel.
Another great option for you is to dine at a Downtown Disney area restaurant. My favorite is Wolfgang Puck Express. This is a Counter Service restaurant, however you will never guess from the food - it is delicious! My boys say they serve the best spaghetti they have ever eaten! After dinner, stroll around and enjoy some shopping or head to Splitsville Luxury Lanes for some family fun!
Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Michelle!
