What restaurant in the Animal Kingdom Park do you recommend for a family with young children?

Jambo, fellow Hoosier! I'm so glad you asked this question because I never tire of talking about my favorite park, Disney's Animal Kingdom. The last time I took my 5-year-old son, he absolutely loved the Table-Service restaurant, Tusker House. Tusker House is located in Old Harambe in Africa and is a lovely Character Dining Experience where you can eat African inspired food while getting a hug from Safari Donald and friends. The kids buffet section has familiar favorites for picky eaters like mini corn dogs and macaroni and cheese, while the rest of the buffet is suited to a slightly more adventurous palate. You must try the banana cinnamon bread pudding with vanilla sauce, it's so delicious!

Another great table service restaurant is the Rainforest Cafe. I know that this restaurant has several locations throughout the country, (the closest to us Hoosiers being Chicago), but it's still really fun for kids and has some great food options. If you've never been, the Rainforest Cafe is a restaurant that is decked out with trees, animated animals and even a rainstorm that comes and goes throughout the meal. It's a place that we still like to go, even if we can find one the next state over. It's just that awesome!

For a quick-service meal I suggest Restaurantosaurus. This restaurant has a pretty standard menu with the ever popular chicken nuggets and fries, with a Triassic twist. The whole restaurant is themed to dinosaurs and paleontology, and is great for kids and kids at heart. When we stop by I love walking around all of the rooms to check out all of the little details sprinkled throughout the space. After you are finished with your meal you can relax and digest while your little ones enjoy The Boneyard. Located just outside Restaurantosaurus, The Boneyard is an awesome play yard complete with rope bridges, slides, and a fossil dig site.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything else, you know where to find us. Have a 'wild' time at Disney's Animal Kingdom!
