We have ressies for sit down dinners for 2 parties. 1 party of 4 the other party of 2. However, was told since total of 6 that an 18% gratuity would be automatic. On Dining Plan, since we are two separate parties can they do this? Trying to budget tips.

    Hi, Andrea!

You are correct.  When there are 6 or more guests dining at the same table, an 18% gratuity will be added to each of your checks.  Each party will have a separate check so each can pay with their own dining credits, and also pay for the gratuity and and any "extras" ordered during the meal.  You can let your server know how you would like your check divided at the start of your meal.

I am sure you will be pleased with your service as the servers at Disney are top notch and will go out of their way to ensure a magical dining experience!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
