Is there a resource online that describes the transportation system? I don't necessarily need schedules but just what options (bus, boat, monorail) are available between each location. We were hoping to do some exploring outside of the 4 parks. Thanks

Hi Shannon! A couple of good resources are the independent websites AllEars.Net and MousePlanet.com. All Ears, especially, does a great job keeping all of the information on their site current. You can use Google with their name and "Disney transportation" to get you started! Basically, however, there is a monorail that runs between the Magic Kingdom Resorts, except for the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. Those to have boat service to the Magic Kingdom and to each other and the Contemporary Resort (which is on the monorail). The Epcot Deluxe Resorts have boat service that runs between them, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. Port Orleans (Riverside and French Quarter), Saratoga Springs, and Old Key West have boat service to Downtown Disney. There is also a water taxi in Downtown Disney to get from the east side to the west side. That's about it. To get anywhere else, you will need to take a Disney bus. To get between hotels that are not within walking distance, share a bus, or that can be reached by boat or monorail, you will have to first go to a theme park or Downtown Disney and then transfer to a bus going to your destination. I hope this helps! Write back if you have any more questions!
