    Jonathan from CA Asked

What resorts will be opening up this summer?

    Hey there, Jonathan!

We are tickled to have you here at planDisney “for the first time in forever.” A Walt Disney World vacation “in summer” (as Olaf likes to sing) means tons of attractions and entertainment. I hope as you read about all the summertime offerings that you are anticipating your potential trip all the more!

Hot off the press: two Resort hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection will be reopening this summer and are now accepting new bookings. First is Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, slated for later this month on July 19th. In August, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will roar back into business on August 26th. Isn’t that wonderful news? They are joining Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, which recently opened its doors on July 2nd.

Looking to the future, expect the fall to bring even more Resort hotels into the fold, beginning with Disney’s All-Star Music Resort for arrivals beginning September 16th; Disney’s Port Orleans Resort–Riverside for arrivals beginning October 14th. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort–French Quarter is playing a happy tune for Guest arrivals beginning October 28th, and finally, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort rounds out the roster for arrivals beginning December 9th.

This means that all the Disney Resorts Collection properties will be open by the end of 2021. Oh happy day! I hope that this is good news for you and that you plan on making your reservations to return to the magic at Walt Disney World. I’m definitely counting down the days until my next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! (It's 85 days but who's counting?)

Jonathan, no reservation is needed here at planDisney; feel free to come back anytime with your planning questions. Wishing you happy planning and a magical vacation!
