Hiya, Adam!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for dropping by with your question. Personally, I love exploring different Disney Resorts Collection hotels each and every time I visit Walt Disney World Resort (even if it doesn't happen to be the Resort I'm currently staying in). With incredible theming details, distinctive dining options, and plenty of activities, each and every Resort has something truly unique and magical to offer. Since it sounds like you're planning to explore a different Disney Resort (or two) during your upcoming visit, let me share a few details to help you along the way.
First, know that you are absolutely welcome to explore any of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, even if you aren't a registered Guest or don't have a dining reservation. You'll just want to keep in mind that without one of those two things, you won't be able to park a vehicle at the Resort or have a taxi or rideshare service drop you off at the Resort's main entrance. To get to a Resort without dining or hotel reservations, I suggest taking one of Walt Disney World's complimentary transportation options from one of the parks or
Disney Springs (depending on where you're headed, you might even be able to walk from the park to some of the monorail or Crescent Lake Resorts).
And while we're talking about Resort hopping, if you happen to be visiting during the months of November and December, I recommend heading over to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to check out the life-sized gingerbread house in the Resort's Main Lobby. Each year, a talented troupe of bakers creates this unique display, and it's one of my favorite parts of the
holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort. You can even purchase one of the gingerbread roof shingles to take home with you –– how cool is that?!
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Adam. I hope this helped to answer your question, but if you need more information, please don't hesitate to stop by again –– we're always here to help!
Happy Planning,
Amy
